When you are blessed with the opportunity to have a baby you envision this perfect plan on how your birth will go and the first few days with your baby. However, sometimes plans don't go how we want them to. Sometimes life throws us curve balls. This family was given one hell of a curve ball. Baby EJ was breech and because of that, for mama and baby to have the best outcome, a cesarean birth was what was planned. Baby EJ was definitely a big boy 9lbs 2oz and 22in long! He had some fluid in his lungs so he needed to be monitored in the NICU. Thankfully it was just a short 3 day stay and was able to be discharged with his mama. I had the privilege to still get their Fresh 48 session documented with the permission of the incredible staff at Boca Regional Hospital; they saw no reason why these parents couldn't have the sweetness of baby EJ captured since we all know how quickly new babies change daily.
