“Words cannot describe how honored we are to have had Paula document the birth of our daughter. Birth is a very intimate and sacred event. Having the right birth team meant having a support team that we trusted and felt comfortable with. We immediately knew that Paula was the woman for the job. Every time we use her for a shoot, we are amazed at how smoothly the session goes. Paula is so organized and passionate about what she does, it hardly seems like work!

The night of the birth, I called Paula at 2am to let her know I was about 8 centimeters. She was at our home ready to go 30 minutes later. I hardly noticed her while I was laboring. She was so respectful of our peaceful home birth environment. The very next day, Paula sent us a sneak peak of the shoot! It was incredible- beautiful and artistic, capturing real emotion. “Where do I start?! First off, Paula did our engagement shoot... It turned out amazing! She had us meet her on a location she knows and is familiar with at the perfect time of day. The sun cast just the right amount of light/shadow. Some photographers just take pictures but Paula gives direction to make sure she captures the perfect moments in time and that you look your best. I was so happy with the photos that Paula caught, she came back and photographed my wedding. The pictures were beautiful! Not only that but she put together an entire package of photos, video, and used our wedding songs to personalize it even more!
It wasn’t long after our wedding that I became pregnant with our baby. Without hesitation, I contacted Paula again to do maternity photos and ended up ordering a package deal with the Fresh 48. Absolutely stunning! I did underwater maternity... First of all, an amazing experience... Secondly, Paula’s patience and creativity were center while she worked with me to capture the images I wanted and some she thought I would love. She was right! She asked me if I would consider doing underwater nudes... It took me a few minutes to get the nerve but I’m so happy she presented the idea. They’re my absolute favorite pictures from the shoot that caught true essence and beauty of my pregnancy. Furthermore, she came out to the hospital’s location to do the Fresh 48. She made sure that I was up for the shoot, trying not to be too persistent or pushy. She really worked on my timeframe instead of hers which was refreshing despite being on call for another birth around the same time. She brought props with her to capture some special photos with our little girl. I will always call Paula for any photography work. She is consistently professional and amazing. Our family enjoyed another successful, stress-free session with Lasting Expression! We knew we wanted Paula for our family/maternity photo shoot after working with her for our daughter’s 1st birthday photos. However, I had my concerns about being so far along in my pregnancy. “It is no exaggeration to say that Lasting Expression Photography has been the best photography service we’ve worked with. Paula shined in all aspects of what you look for in a shoot — her performance in the shoot itself, the quality of the photos, and the price.
Our little one has had photo shoots before, but each photographer had trouble keeping her engaged or being able to get candid shots. LEP was able to do both. Paula went above and beyond what could be expected during the shoot, not only getting our LO to smile and look at the camera, but doing whatever it took to get the shot. By the end of the shoot, my daughter was holding her hand and walking her around, which I would have never imagined based on her attitude towards previous photo shoots.
The photos were of top quality, and my wife and I could not be more pleased. We ended up going for so many extras that it nearly doubled our package size, as they were all so good! Not only did LEP get good photos, but the poses and setups were varied, and so many of the candid shots were great as well. Add in that Paula has a great artistic eye and superb editing skills, and needless to say our whole family is asking for photos they can frame.
All of this at a VERY reasonable price. We got a lot of photos and a lot of time for what we paid. Never did we feel rushed during the shoot, either. We had no problem springing for the extra shots... all in all, an amazing value.
Not only that, but Paula was a pleasure to work with every step of the way. From coordinating the shoot, to the shoot itself, to choosing the photos we wanted, everything was done professionally and we never felt like we were waiting. She even fulfilled our special requests without hesitation.
I cannot recommend Lasting Expression Photography enough. She has earned a repeat customer for all of our future shoots (and baby #2, whenever that is!) Thank you!”
